A good marketing plan groups all of the tools and tactics needed to reach your commercial objectives. It doesn’t have to be marvellous or lengthy, it just needs to get directly to the action points.

STEP 1 – Situation analysis

First you have to define your company and the services provided. This will show how your product / service is different from your competitors and which benefits set you apart from the market. STEP 2 – Target audience

STEP 4 – Communication strategies

This step is certainly the most important one. During the previous steps you’ve identified where you are and where you’d like to be. Now you have to build a bridge between! How do you reach your target audience? Advertising, Public relations, social media, direct marketing, local or national, online or offline. There are many ways to reach a customer but not all of them will be effective. To find your ideal marketing mix you have to know which media or marketing channel your target audience engages with the most.

STEP 5 – Marketing budget

You will need to devote a specific budget to your marketing. Even though when you start a business and it’s hard to put resources aside, bear in mind that marketing is key to your success. There are so many marketing tactics available for reaching out your prospects that even the tightest budget can manage a good marketing strategy!
