Clippy’s Apples are award-winning British-apple based conserves, jellies, chutneys & relishes. The company was set up by Clippy (aka Michelle McKenna) from her spare bedroom and using apples from her back garden.
She’s taken the business from strength to strength, and now supplies not only delicatessens and online stores, but the big supermarkets and Ocado too.
This rapid expansion meant that she needed a bit of advice as to how to make the most of her success and also how to market with large businesses, who work in a completely different way.
Bare Bones helped Clippy’s Apples focus their limited budgets and came up with some new ideas and a marketing plan that was very low cost, using the fantastic network of customers and advocates that the business already has.
We continue to help by acting as a sounding board – sometimes that’s all you need!
What Clippy had to say about Bare Bones…
“My name is Clippy and I’m the founder of Clippy’s Apples, we’re the first ever company to launch a commercially made ‘British Apple Jam’ into the UK’s supermarkets. We are a very small company but with big ambitions to become a UK household name. Emma from Bare Bones Marketing has really helped us to define our marketing plan without coming across as an ex-director from a big UK firm. Emma went into great detail about the Clippy’s brand and how we can achieve our dream. I would highly recommend the Bare Bones approach which is warm, friendly and passionate about delivering the best options for small business which are realistic.”
